Our story is full of moments orchestrated by a divine hand, demonstrating the tender heart of our Heavenly Father leading us.

My (Andrew) side of the story began back in March of 2023. Late one night, as I laid in bed contemplating some conversations I had with family earlier that day about relationships – I felt led to read Proverbs 18:22: “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.”

Little did I know this verse would send me on a wild adventure I never could have expected. Something in this verse sparked a curiosity in me. I ventured onto an old Christian social media platform that had now been converted to an equally dated Christian dating website with a rather conspicuous name: ChristianDatingForFree.com.

My reasoning for investigating this particular website was two-fold: I had tried dating apps previously and did not care for the vague information provided on profiles, and all potential connections were limited to the United States. So despite the suspiciously uncreative name of the website, I created a profile and prayed I wouldn’t wake up with a missing kidney.

My intention was not to start dating, but to make some connections – and perhaps even a friend or two. I have always believed that the best marriages are built upon healthy friendship, and this website let you meet people from around the world from the context of friendship (if you mark your profile as such.)

This is where I met Gio. Her profile was humble and genuine – and she also listed a desire to build a friendship first without the pressure of dating. I knew within the first few days we spoke that she was someone special. And her love for Jesus and faith in God was outspoken. She immediately gained my respect and admiration.

The connections that followed are nothing short of a miracle.
